On December 10, 2023, David Tvildiani Medical University’s Students’ and Young Scientists’ Association (SYSSA) hosted the XII Nobel's Day focused on cardiovascular disease and advances in this field.
Cardiovascular diseases are one of the most current problems in modern medicine. Despite recent progress, the prevalence of diseases in the field of cardiology continues to rise. In light of today's scientific achievements, it is critical to discuss the most recent breakthroughs and research in cardiovascular disease. The XII Nobel's Day provided a platform for medical professionals and students to exchange knowledge and ideas.
The conference was opened by the traditional speech of the Dean of David Tvildiani Medical University, Nino Bregvadze-Tabagari, Sopio Aspanidze - CEO of Caucasus Medical centre and Tinatin Kutchukhidze - President of the Students’ and Young Scientists Scientific Association (SYSSA).
Speakers included students, physicians and vice dean of David Tvildiani Medical university Paata Tsagareishvili M.D., who discussed research integrity and ethics through Erasmus+ project and Giorgi Papiashvili, M.D., taking center stage as the keynote speaker, where he discussed the history of cardiac pacing. The auditorium filled with anticipation as students presented their innovative research and ideas.
The event's conclusion unfolded with engaging neurologic and microbiologic workshops, providing attendees with hands-on experiences and deeper insights. Workshop of Neurology was performed by Student Interest Group of Neurology (SIGN). The concepts and knowledge exchanged during these workshops attest to the importance of collaboration in advancing scientific understanding.
After the scientific session, the participants of the conference and the members of the organizing committee of SYSSA were awarded with certificates.
